Odia newspaper maker & layout software

Odia newspaper maker for readable local newspaper pages

An Odia newspaper page needs careful proofing of letter forms, local names and compact captions. XLR8 Print supports Odia newspaper production. Test the font with approved Unicode copy first; a successful page preview is only the start of checking whether the printed result reads correctly.

Start with a page from your own newsroom

Start with a district report, a school or institution name in the headline and a small notice. Use the intended column width and keep a copy of the approved text beside the proof.

Prepare the approved story, headline, byline, caption, image credit and edition date together. In XLR8, assemble the page, review the generated layout and make corrections before exporting. Newspaper generation assists production; an editor still approves facts, spelling and what belongs in the edition.

Three checks before you approve the page

Check vowel signs and conjuncts

Include ଓଡ଼ିଆ and words with joined letters in the test. Look for missing marks, unexpected substitutions and clipping above or below a line, especially in smaller captions.

Verify local spellings before fitting

Compare village, district and personal names with the approved report. If a headline is too long, edit it with the newsroom rather than altering a name or forcing a break inside a word.

Test the printer handoff early

Send one representative PDF page to the printer before producing a complete edition. Confirm page size and font handling, then review a printed proof for small text, photographs and advert details.

Build the paper. Build its reach. Build a stronger publishing business.

A publication does not stop at the printing press. XLR8 Print brings newspaper production, a news website service, and a billing system together—so the edition, its audience, and the business behind it can move forward as one.

The edition

Shape approved stories, photographs, and advertisements into editable pages, then review the edition before it goes to press.

The audience

Give the publication a credible digital home through our news website service, and stay present beyond the morning paper.

The business

Keep billing organised with a system built for the commercial work behind a newspaper, backed by the same team that supports your publication.

Read the PDF, not just the editor

Check names, numerals, photographs, adverts and page size again in the exported PDF. Send one representative page to your printer before producing a complete edition. Use the printer’s requested export settings; increasing a DPI number will not restore detail missing from a source image.
