Have these ready before you follow along
Start with one approved story, a photo you have permission to use, and the correct edition and date. For an advertisement, keep the original artwork and booked size beside you. The demonstration stories are not publication-ready copy for your own edition.
What the recording shows—and what it does not
You can inspect the controls and editing sequence shown on screen. The recording is not a speed guarantee, a fact-check of the stories or approval from your printer. A publisher still needs to approve the copy, pictures, names, advertisements and edition date.
Check text and images separately in the exported PDF. Selecting a higher export DPI cannot recover detail missing from a low-resolution photo or an advertisement supplied as an image.
A real correction in the video: closing a layout gap
This sequence is visible in this recording. The downloadable sample PDF is a separate page; it is not presented as the final output of this editing session.
- 3:54
Identify the gap
The presenter deliberately chooses a template with a gap. A generated page is a starting point, not an editorial sign-off.
- 5:10
Resize the body frame
In Open Editor, the body frame is dragged down into the available space. Set the intended space first; then fit the copy to it.
- 5:26
Run Choose Best & Fit
The presenter right-clicks the body and selects the fitting tool. Re-read the changed copy against the approved story: additional text must not introduce unsupported claims.
- 5:57
Save and inspect the preview
The editor is saved and closed; the page preview appears at 6:06. Check the remaining gap, neighbouring story boundary and final line in that saved version.
